Yemeni Almond Coffee
Yemeni Almond Coffee...This coffee we use and offer to the mourners at the funeral in Aden for a week, and then we offer the normal strength until the fortieth day
The Ingredients
- A liter of milk
- Half a cup of peeled and coarsely ground Hijazi almonds
- Sugar to taste
- About 4 tablespoons of very finely ground Egyptian rice
- Half a teaspoon of cardamom, finely ground
- ¼ teaspoon (ground cinnamon and ground ginger)
How to prepare
- Put the milk and sugar in a saucepan over low heat.
- Dissolve the ground rice with a little water.
- When the milk begins to boil, add the rice dissolved in the water to it.
- And stir it immediately until it boils.
- then leave it after boiling for 10 minutes with continuous stirring.
- Then the cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger dissolve with a little water and add to the coffee with stirring for 3 minutes.
- In the meantime, the ground almonds are roasted in a pan without oil until it turns golden, then splashes over the coffee while it is on the fire, and we take a tablespoon of coffee and pour it into the same pan and pour it again over the pot...
- Stir for a minute or two.
- And remove from heat.
- Immediately pour into cups.. and serve...
